Refund Policy
Last updated
Everything Cutlark Studio sells is a digital file, delivered immediately after payment. That shapes this policy, so it is worth stating the position clearly rather than burying it.
The general position
Because the files are delivered instantly and cannot be returned once downloaded, refunds are not generally offered after a download has been made.
This is standard for digital goods, and it is the reason every product page states the file count, dimensions, DPI, format and background type before purchase, and shows preview images of the actual artwork — including a view on a dark background so the edge quality is visible. The intention is that nothing about the product is a surprise.
When a refund will be given
A refund will be given where the product is genuinely faulty or not what was described. That includes:
- The download fails and cannot be resolved.
- Files are corrupted or will not open in standard software.
- Files are missing from the ZIP, or there are fewer than the stated number.
- The specification is wrong — for example the resolution or file count does not match what the product page said.
- The backgrounds are not transparent when the listing states that they are.
- A duplicate purchase was made in error and the second copy has not been downloaded.
In these cases contact us and we will either supply a corrected file or refund the purchase. You will not be asked to justify the request beyond describing the problem.
When a refund will not be given
- You changed your mind after downloading.
- You bought the wrong bundle but have already downloaded it.
- The artwork is not the style you expected, where the preview images accurately showed it.
- Your software cannot open PNG files, or you do not have software that can.
- You want to use the artwork in a way the licence does not permit.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
In some jurisdictions — including the UK and EU — consumers have a statutory right to cancel a digital purchase within a set period. That right is usually waived once the download begins and the consumer has acknowledged it, which is how instant-delivery digital stores operate. Where the law in your country gives you a stronger right than this policy, that law applies.
If you believe you have a statutory right to a refund, say so when you contact us and we will address it directly.
How to request a refund
Refunds are processed by Payhip, which handles payment for every Cutlark product.
Email us from the address you used at checkout — the address is on our contact page — and include:
- The product name
- The date of purchase or the Payhip order reference
- A short description of the problem
We aim to reply within two business days. If a refund is approved it is issued through the original payment method, and the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider — typically five to ten business days.
Lost downloads are not a refund matter
If you have simply lost your files, you do not need a refund. Payhip links your purchase to the email address used at checkout, and the original download email is the fastest route back to it. If you cannot find it, email us and we will help you recover the download.
